Submission guidelines (short)

  • Include a short bio (2 sentences) and a headshot for author pages.

Join Asmara Bellydance Initiative and special guests on November 12, 2023 at 3pm EST, at Rhythma Dance Studios, Atlanta, GA for the Shades of Autumn dance showcase!

We are preparing an enchanting afternoon to revel in the richness of diversity within our Raqs Sharqi (bellydance) community. Brace yourselves for an exhilarating event that will capture the essence of the season! The spotlight will shine brightly on BIPOC dancers, as we come together to showcase our undeniable talents and captivating performances that embrace dance styles extending from Southwest Asia and North Africa. We will also be streaming the show online so that you may watch it from anywhere in the world.

We hope that you will join us in this effort to make a difference and show support for our brothers and sisters in dance. We believe that, together, we have the power to promote, nurture, encourage, and celebrate the diversity of BIPOC dancers. Thank you for your support and we hope to see you at the Shades of Autumn showcase this fall.

The showcase will be family-friendly and light refreshments will be available. A recording will not be available afterwards.
